Dr. Rajshekhar (Raj) G. Javalgi
Dr. Raj Javalgi is an author, educator, speaker, business consultant, and a student of the Bible. His loving parents instilled in him the values of hard work, creativity, and integrity. They also emphasized the power of higher education. Following his parents’ advice, Raj completed his undergraduate degree with honors in mathematics. His dedication earned him a Gold Medal at a state-level competition.
Raj earned a Master of Science in Mathematics, an MBA in Business Administration, and a PhD in Business Management, all from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Early in his career, he was awarded the title “Distinguished Professor of Research” and became one of the few professors to earn this prestigious honor in academia.
Dr. Raj dedicated over 30 years to higher education. He began his career as a business professor and served as an administrator for more than twenty years. He held the positions of Dean and Associate Dean at business schools in both public (Cleveland State University (CSU)) and private (Walsh University) institutions. While in administrative roles, Raj also mentored more than a dozen students to earn their Doctor of Business Administration degree.
In his administrative role at CSU, for example, Dr. Raj led various innovative and entrepreneurial programs through centers like the Global Business Center (GBC). Working closely with the dedicated GBC team, he helped several strategic initiatives earn prestigious awards and recognition at regional and national levels. These awards include the President’s “E” Award for Export and the Ohio Governor’s Export Award. Additionally, Dr. Raj secured over $800,000 in grants from the U.S. Department of Education while collaborating with his team. These programs have benefited and continue to support a group of small businesses in the region and beyond, fostering economic growth and helping students develop entrepreneurial skills.
Dr. Raj is a distinguished researcher and an internationally acclaimed scholar. He has published over 125 research articles in reputable scholarly journals worldwide, specializing in international business, strategic management, and strategic entrepreneurship. Several of his articles have received best paper awards. To date, his research has been cited more than 15,000 times by scholars around the world. He has presented papers at conferences globally and has taught at prestigious business schools abroad.
Dr. Raj has extensive experience working with international business professionals. He has helped small and medium-sized enterprises develop global marketing plans, export strategies, country analyses, and cultural considerations for conducting business in both developed and emerging economies.
In 2025, Raj was inducted into Marquis Who’s Who in America and recognized as a leading professional, educator, researcher, and author. Who’s Who has documented the lives of the most accomplished individuals, innovators, and entrepreneurs in their fields.
Raj spends his time consulting, teaching, attending Bible study, and most importantly, being with his family. Drawing from personal faith and academic leadership, Raj is currently working on books focused on applying Biblical truths, promises, and principles to live a victorious life.
